Custom Application Services

Dry fertilizer

AGRIS has a fleet of eight multi-bin airflow applicators. Each applicator has variable rate capabilities to support a 4R Nutrient Stewardship strategy. Utilizing the Advanced Information System (AIS), which starts by using current site-specific soil sampling integrated into the build, maintain, and drawdown recommendation system and wireless connectivity to the applicators assures an efficient process. AGRIS' recommendation mapping scripts interface with the onboard Raven system to ensure that the right nutrient is applied to the right place at the prescribed rate.

Utilizing the dispatch system to organize the application jobs on a daily basis assures customers that activities are managed efficiently. The farmer can access the soil sample data, recommendations, as-applied maps, and set up text or email notification requests using their myFS account. After the notifications are set up, the farmer can receive job completion notices. The notification will inform the customer when the job is completed without waiting for a phone call.

Limestone

AGRIS has a fleet of three variable-rate equipped spinner applicators for applying limestone. Utilizing current site-specific soils tests allows for a site-specific application map to be generated with prescribed rates to place limestone where it's needed. Proper soil pH determines the nutrient use efficiency of all essential nutrients. The correct soil pH optimizes crop response to all soil-based nutrients. Lime applicators also use the dispatch program.

Crop protection

AGRIS Co-operative maintains a sprayer at the Brigden branch and utilizes a fleet of third-party applicators to apply crop protection products. All operators are fully licensed and insured. The crop planning process has likely already considered the applicator service required well in advance. Both ground and aerial services are available.
