AGRIS Owners Celebrate Strong Year at 2025 Annual General MeetingCHATHAM, ONTARIO – [January 16, 2025] – At this year’s annual general meeting, AGRIS Co-operative owners re-elected four directors to the board for three-year terms: Jim Anderson, Mike Zink, Kim Fysh, and Moe Chauvin. Larry Pajot was also honoured for his remarkable 20 years of service as a director on the AGRIS board.

During the meeting, the owners expressed their appreciation for the work of Harvest Hands, which supports food security for those in need. Over the past four years, AGRIS Co-operative has donated nearly $70,000 to this vital initiative.

Financially, AGRIS celebrated another strong year. The 2024 financial results enabled the declaration and distribution of $1.5 million in patronage to the co-operative’s owners. In addition, $511,000 in interest was paid on owner investments, bringing total returns to over $2 million.

In his report, President Allan Parks recognized the significant contributions of General Manager Jim Campbell, who will retire after 25 years of dedicated service to the co-operative. Allan shared the board’s efforts to ensure a seamless transition as they recruit a new General Manager and maintain AGRIS’s momentum and commitment to its owners’ success.

“This year’s AGM showcased the strength and resilience of our co-operative,” said Allan Parks. “With our financial success, commitment to community initiatives and the careful planning for leadership transitions, AGRIS is well-positioned to continue enhancing the success of our farmer-owners.”

The board convened immediately following the meeting to elect its officers for 2025. Allan Parks was elected as President, Cameron McWilliams as Vice President, and Pat Vanheule as Secretary.
