The AGRIS Co-operative board of directors is pleased to announce a donation of $500 to the Co-operative Young Leaders (CYL) program. While the on site camping has had to be cancelled again this year due to COVID restrictions, new on-line programing has been developed to provide campers a virtual experience.

The goal of CYL is to provide a safe and non-judgemental environment for participants and facilitators where they are free to be themselves. CYL empowers youth to be explorers, trailblazers and visionaries, while equipping them with the change-making tools and skills they need to succeed in the world. Since its inception in 1967, over 3,500 young people have gone through the program, sponsored by co-operatives and credit unions across the province. CYL is one of many programs and resources provided by the Ontario Co-operative Association.

AGRIS has sponsored many young leaders to attend this summer camp. We look forward to the program retuning to its on-site format in 2022.
